Dear Monroe Township School District (Middlesex),
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
I am requesting tuition reimbursement to administrative staff. I would like this information to include, the names of all recipients, amount awarded, per year with course description and course outcome, ie degree bestowed, pass or fail for the years 2010 through 2022
Yours faithfully,
Kathy Leonard
Please be advised that the District is closed due to Spring Break. I will
respond to your email upon my return on Monday, April 25, 2022.
The Board is in receipt of your Open Public Records Act ("OPRA") request. Your request requires additional time to respond due to the significant demands placed on the District with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic and OPRA requests. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(i). Specifically, OPRA states that “the requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be made available. If the record is not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.” Accordingly, your request requires an extension of time until May 17, 2022.
Dear Ms. Leonard,
The District is in receipt of your request for records under the Open Public Records Act. Your request requires further clarification on the government record being requested. Specifically it is unclear who is being referred to by the phrase “administrative staff.” Would you kindly provide more specific information or names related to this request so that the District can determine whether it has responsive records. As your request is vague as to the specific government record being sought, it is denied, at this time, until further clarification is provided.
