Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), I respectfully request copies of the following identifiable government records:
1. Any OPRA request submitted by Richard Gonzales and received by the Town of Dover between January 1, 2024 and February 28, 2024.
2. The finalized written response(s) issued by the Town of Dover Custodian of Records to Richard Gonzales during that same time period.
3. All records, attachments, reports, audio, video, emails, or other materials transmitted to Richard Gonzales in response to those OPRA request(s).
4. Any redaction logs, exemption explanations, or written documentation reflecting the review and redaction of records prior to release.
This request seeks only existing records and does not require the creation of a new record.
If access is denied in whole or in part, please cite the specific statutory exemption relied upon and provide the legal basis for the denial.

Due to the expansiveness of this request, the Town requires an additional extension beyond the seven (7) business days to fulfill. See Scheeler v. N.J. Dep’t of Educ., GRC Complaint No. 2014-123 (Feb. 2016) (validating extension under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g) and N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(i) where custodian provided written response within seven (7) business days and provided specific date when records would be ready). The Town anticipates that records readily identified as responsive to your request, with any necessary redactions, will be available to you by close of business on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
