The Township of Clark received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request on October 1, 2022 (Inbox 9:29 pm Saturday). The official Records Custodian, Edith Merkel, received your OPRA request on October 3, 2022. As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is October 13, 2022. This response to your request is being provided to you on the 2nd business day after the custodian’s receipt of said request.

Your OPRA request (below) sought access to the following:

"Looking for the records of any traffic study performed at the corner of liberty and Westfield ave in Clark. Or the corner of Kathryn Street and Westfield Ave in Clark"

The Township has no records relating to a Traffic Study at the referenced intersections. We do note that Westfield Ave is a County Road and the County may have some relevant information. Although not Traffic Studies, the Township attaches the following documents as data points in an effort to be responsive to your request.

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or unfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a right to challenge the decision by the Township of Clark to deny access. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form. The GRC can also answer other questions about the law. All questions regarding complaints filed in Superior Court should be directed to the Court Clerk in your County.
