Dear Voorhees Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1. List of all township owned registered motor vehicles including but not limited to municipal, police, fire and ems. Please include year, make, model, color, purchase date and purchase price.
2. Copy of the policy on use of police department and fire department vehicles as take home vehicles.
3. List of all township employees with take home vehicles including vehicle description and employee's job title.
4. Copies of mileage, fuel and toll records of all take home vehicles assigned to and/or used by municipal, police or fire department employees for the period of January 1, 2022 until present.

In accordance with P.L. 2024, c.16,
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(i)(1) now contemplates two (2) types of extensions:
▪ If records are in storage or archived, a custodian may take an extension not to exceed twenty-one (21) business days from the date the requestor is noticed of the extension.
▪ If there exists “unforeseen circumstances or circumstances that otherwise necessitate additional time”, a custodian may take an extension of time that is reasonable.
I request that I am provided with a legitimate reason that you are seeking an extension beyond the seven (7) business day deadline.
With the information you have provided, I do not believe a 14 business day extension is reasonable.
At this time I will reasonably grant a 5 business day extension provided that you clarify the following:
1. Which specific records that I requested are you are custodian of?

Good afternoon,
1. List of all township owned registered motor vehicles including but not limited to municipal, police, fire and ems. Please include year, make, model, color, purchase date and purchase price.
Attached is a list of all township vehicles broken down by department. This report does not indicate which vehicles are "take home" vehicles. I am working on deciphering that information.
2. Copy of the policy on use of police department and fire department vehicles as take home vehicles.
The municipal vehicle policy is attached. Police and Fire have a different policy and that will be provided by the police department as part of the portion of this request specific to police and fire.
3. List of all township employees with take home vehicles including vehicle description and employee's job title.

4. Copies of mileage, fuel and toll records of all take home vehicles assigned to and/or used by municipal, police or fire department employees for the period of January 1, 2022 until present.

I provided a list of all take home vehicles on March 21st. A report does not exist that identifies which employee drives which vehicle. This is complete.
2. Copy of the policy on use of police department and fire department vehicles as take home vehicles.
The municipal vehicle policy is attached. Police and Fire have a different policy and that will be provided by the police department as part of the portion of this request specific to police and fire. Complete

A report is attached that lists the names of employees who drive take home vehicles, this includes milage as well. Police vehicle records will be provide in the response from the police department.
4. Copies of mileage, fuel and toll records of all take home vehicles assigned to and/or used by municipal, police or fire department employees for the period of January 1, 2022 until present.
We do not have EZ Pass account for municipal employees nor do we track fuel specific to each vehicle. Attached is the fuel usage report.
