Regarding your OPRA Request below:
The Brick Township Police Department's Response is as follows:
1) Item #1 - "All purchase order history from 2012 to 2019 for the police department.
Please include the date, description, vendor, and amount of each purchase."
This request is overly broad and does not identify a specific government record and is
therefore invalid pursuant to Mag Entertainment, LLC v. Division of Alcoholic Beverage
Control, 375 N.J.Super. 534 (March 2005) and Bent v. Stafford Police Department, 381
N.J. Super. 30 (October 2005). A request pursuant to the Open Public Records Act,
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq. must identify the records sought with specificity.
