Dear Plainsboro,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department.
2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for the first time (year and month).
3. Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased).
Yours faithfully,
Taeho Kim
Request was received today 5/27/20 and it is due on 6/5/20.
NOTICE - Due to a State of Emergency declared by Governor Murphy regarding
the Coronavirus, and recently passed legislation, P.L. 2020, c.10, during
a state of emergency, public health emergency, or state of local disaster
emergency, a custodian of a government record for a public agency is
required only to make a reasonable effort to respond to a request for a
government record within seven business days, or as soon as possible
thereafter, as the circumstances permit. We ask for patience and
understanding as we gather the information to complete the request. Police
records may require extensions as there is NO clerical staff working, only
sworn police officers for emergency response purposes and they are
extremely busy during this public health emergency with safety and
response planning.
Thank you
