Neptune City Noise Pollution Town Horn
Dear Neptune City Borough,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
All noise complaints received by Neptune City for the time period covering January 1, 2018 – January 30, 2024. All follow up and protocols related to noise complaints.
All email communications and town staff meeting minutes related to the town horn and complaints raised about noise by town staff and officials for the time period January 2020 – January 30, 2024.
OSHA logs for Neptune City staff and volunteers from January 1, 2018 – January 30, 2024.
All 911 calls made that were relayed to the town of Neptune City for the time period January 2020 – January 30, 2024. Identify nature of emergency and what departments were called and who was dispatched.
Information about who installed the town horn in Neptune City, when was it installed, maintenance and inspection reports on town horn from time of installation through the present. All policies and procedures, ordinances, and safety training information about using the town horn. Please share installation requirements for the horn.
All Union contracts that cover employees of Neptune City and emergency responders who serve Neptune City.
All Neptune City town council meeting minutes since 2018 that discuss or otherwise deal with the town horn. Please include public comment and full meeting content agenda items, and motions with those who raised the issue and contact information for speakers.
A full list of Neptune City staff and contact information for all volunteer first responders with contact information.
The full town horn use log showing every time the horn was sounded from January 2018 – January 30, 2024.
