Dear Denville Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
Code Violation
- A list of property addresses that have received any code violations in the last 90 days.
Tax Delinquent
- A list of all property addresses that have an unpaid property tax bill for the last 12 months. Please also include in the list or separately a list of properties whose property tax bill was liened against the property.
Water Shut Off / Utility Liens
- A list of all property addresses that have had their water bill liened against the property, have failed to pay their water bill, or have had the water shut off at any point.
Eviction List
- A list of all addresses where an eviction has been filed since the beginning of 2023.

Good Afternoon,
You submitted an Open Public Records Act (OPRA) Request Form to Denville Township which was received by the Municipal Clerk on 10/26/2023. Pursuant to the Act, the Township has 7 business days, beginning the day after receipt of the request by the Records Custodian, within which to respond.
Your request sought access to the following:
* A list of property addresses that have received any code violations in the last 90 days.
* A list of all property addresses that have had an unpaid property tax bill for the last 12 months. Please also include in the list or separately a list of properties whose property tax bill was liened against the property
* A list of all property addresses that have had their water bill liened against the property, have failed to pay their water bill or have had the water shut off at any point.
* A list of all addresses where an eviction has been filed since the beginning of 2023.
Attached, please find the records that to the best of my knowledge are believed to be responsive to your request. Please note, the Township of Denville does not shut of water nor do they do evictions. We have been advised by the Construction Department that they are currently working with their software company to determine if said code violation record exists.
At this time, there are no additional records responsive to your OPRA Request.
