Thank you for your quick response and for providing the planning board application.
However, I note that the applicant LLC’s phone number, address and email address were redacted. I am formally requesting that this information be released.
Under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), records submitted as part of a public planning board application are generally considered public records. The contact information for a business entity included in such an application does not appear to fall within any of the statutory exemptions that would justify redaction.
If the Township is asserting that an exemption applies, please identify the specific statutory citation under OPRA that authorizes the redaction of this information.
Absent a valid exemption, I request that you provide an unredacted version of the responsive documents. If access to this information continues to be denied, please consider this a request for a formal written denial, including the legal basis for withholding the records, as required under OPRA.
