Athletic Budget
Dear Highland Park Board of Education,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
-Proposed Athletic Budget for 26-27 year (Verbally referenced in Board of Education meeting from February 2026)
-Any documents indicating approved or denied items from athletics proposed budget for 26-27 academic year.
-Line item athletic spending from 24-25 and 25-26 academic years.
-Line item athletic spending so far for 26-27 academic year.

Dear Denise DeRosa,
Thank you, but this does not include the proposed budget. The proposed budget is not what was allocated. It's what was proposed by the Athletic Director that would have been changed in the budget that was voted on and approved. The proposed budget was referenced in the February 2026 board meeting, so it should exist. Please send the document that was requested in my original request.
