Records requested: Pertaining to the Water Infrastructure Protection Act (WIPA or the Act) in reviewing a Municipal Certification of Emergent Conditions.
On January 1, 2022 the CITY OF SALEM passed
RESOLUTION 2022-5, CREATING THE WATER INFRASTRUCTURE PROTECTION ACT (WIPA) AD HOC COMMITTEE.
The City of Salem retained Remington Vernick to as their independent financial advisor.
1. Please advise if Within 10 days of the approval of the INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL report by the CITY OF SALEM, copies of the report were transmitted to the Board of Public Utilities (BPU), Department of Community Affairs (DCA)’s Director of the Division of Local Government Services (DLGS).
2,.if the financial report was submitted to DLGS please make the report available for public review. (per N.J.S.A. 58:30-5.c.) by attaching a copy or providing a link to where the report can be found on the DLGS or other website
3) (per N.J.S.A. 58:30-5.e.).
**PLEASE provide me copy of the City of Salem resolution certifying emergent conditions, submitted to the Board, Director, and Department.
4. Please advise if within 30 calendar days of receipt of the resolution, the Department either approved or rejected the CITY OF SALEM’s Emergent Condition Certification (per N.J.S.A. 58:30-5.e.). Kindly provide a written copy of the decision.
