This is an email request pursuant to New Jersey's Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A.10:4-6, et seq., P.L.1963, c.73 (C.47:1A-1 et seq.), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1, and the common law right of access.
Requested Records: All public records relating to any UNDERGROUND OIL TANK(s) (if any and whether active or decommissioned) located at 15 Brantwood Ter, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Block: 2202, Lot: 6 (Current owner in fee: Fedor, Betty Jane Sara). If any records are not available electronically, please provide instructions on how they can be obtained.
As a purchaser of the property located at 15 Brantwood Ter, Hackettstown, NJ 07840, I am respectfully asking that my request be completed within the statutory period.

Dear Mr. Sosis,
This office is in receipt of your request for public records on the property referenced above. We will forward it to the Warren County Health Department to conduct a file search, along with the request you just sent in yesterday for the same property. (Hopefully we won't be getting another.) You may expect to hear from that department directly regarding any findings. However, those records will most likely be limited to data on septic systems and wells.
With regard to USTs, it is unlikely our County Health Department would have such records. For that, we suggest you contact the NJ DEP: http://www.nj.gov/dep/opra/ or perhaps the municipality (which appears to be Mansfield Township, even though the property has a Hackettstown mailing address: http://mansfieldtownship-nj.gov/images/F...
