Dear Reginald Lamptey,

Are you saying that Dr. Vauss did not send or receive any emails from 12/12/2022 through 12/23/2022?

In Paff v. Galloway Twp. the Supreme Court of New Jersey stated that the sender, recipient, date and subject of emails are public records subject to disclosure.

Yours sincerely,

John Doe

Dear Reginald Lamptey,

Are you going to respond? If you choose not to, I will send this to my attorney to take it to court.

Yours sincerely,

John Doe

Dear Reginald Lamptey,

I will be sending this to my attorney to file in the Supreme Court.

In Paff v Galloway Twp, the New Jersey Supreme Court found that the "sender, recipient, date, and subject" of emails during a specific time period is a government record subject to disclosure under OPRA.

If my request follows the Supreme Court's own language, how can you claim it to be vague? I provided the name of the person whose emails I want. I provided a specific date range. Which part of my request is confusing to you? How is it possible vague?

Yours sincerely,

John Doe

Dear Mr. Lamptley,

You denied my request., providing the Supreme Court case that shows my request cannot be considered vague. I asked for clarification about your statement of "no documents found". You have not responded to any of these communications.

This is my fourth response to you regarding this matter. You have not responded to any of my communications.

Once again, I would like to invite you to read about Paff v Galloway Twp (https://casetext.com/case/paff-v-gallowa...), a case heard in the New Jersey Supreme Court. In this case, the Court found that “the fields of information covering sender, recipient, date, and subject in the emails sent by the Galloway Township Chief of Police and Clerk over a two-week period are government records under OPRA.”
My OPRA request was for “the fields of information covering sender, recipient, date, and subject” sent and received by Dr. Vauss during a specific time period.

If my request used the exact verbiage that the Supreme Court did in the aforementioned case, how can it be vague?

You also said “no documents found”, but did not provide clarification when I asked. Are you stating that Dr. Vauss did not send or received any emails in her official capacity during that time period?

The 7th business day after I submitted my request is January 31, 2023. Please either provide the records I requested or provide clarification by the end of the day on January 31, 2023.

Thank you.

Dear Irvington Board of Education,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Open Public Records Act reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Irvington Board of Education's handling of my OPRA request 'The sender, recipient, date, and subject of emails'.

A full history of my OPRA request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://opramachine.com/request/the_send...
