Tax delinquency
Dear Hackensack City,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records request:
I am requesting a list or record of all residential properties (Class 2) within your municipality that are currently two (2) years or more delinquent on their municipal property taxes, or are currently eligible for tax sale due to a three-year delinquency status.
If possible, please include the following data fields for each property:
Block and Lot
Property Address
Assessed Owner Name
Assessed Owner Mailing Address (if different from property address)
Total Delinquent Amount
I prefer to receive these records in an electronic format (such as a CSV or Excel spreadsheet) delivered to this email address.
If my request is denied in whole or in part, please justify all deletions or redactions by reference to specific exemptions of the law. If there are any fees associated with fulfilling this request, please notify me before proceeding.

As of October 1, 2025 City Clerk Deborah Karlsson has retired from the
City of Hackensack.
