Staffing requests - Ocean County Jail
Dear Ocean County,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Any written staffing request, memorandum, email, submission, or assessment prepared by or on behalf of Warden Joseph M. Valenti requesting:
Creation of an additional lieutenant position at the Ocean County Jail; or
An increase in the number of authorized lieutenant positions,
for budget years 2025 and/or 2026.
The complete manning document submissions provided by the Ocean County Department of Corrections to County Administration or Finance in:
November 2024 (for the 2025 budget), and
November 2025 (for the 2026 budget).
Any Personnel Action Request form or position creation request submitted prior to 4/30/25.
Any Board of Commissioners agenda packet materials or backup documents referencing a staffing request from the Warden related to the creation of the additional lieutenant position.
If no responsive records exist, please provide a written certification of nonexistence.
