Dear Franklin Lakes Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Copies of ALL invoices for all fire extinguisher, kitchen fire suppression and fire alarm services from 2020 to present
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Michael
Tony,
We are in receipt of your attached request for public records and it has been reviewed by the Finance office. They have advised that there are two options: 1) run a report for the known vendors during this time frame (cannot verify these are the only vendors from that time period) or run a full report for the timeframe and you can identify those vendors you are interested in.
Please advise how you wish to proceed and provide any additional details that may help us provide you with the information most helpful to you.

Tony,
To date we have not received a response to our request of April 8, 2026
seeking clarification on your OPRA request. Fire Prevention, Fire
Department and the DPW provided the names of the vendors they used and the
reports attached reflect the four identified vendors (see email below).
Based on this information, responsive documents are attached.
The Finance Clerk is out of the office until April 21. If you require
additional information, an extension of time will be required and we will
provide you with an estimate for a special service charge, as a deposit
will be required as it requires we utilize an outside vendor to retrieve
files from storage, and an extraordinary expenditure of time and effort to
pull the purchase orders and make copies.
Please advise if the attached records satisfy your request.
Thank you,
Gail
