Am I to understand that prior to 2021, resolutions were passed with EXACT salary amounts to be paid to township employees and officers? In 2021, 2022 and 2023 there are no resolutions directing or giving guidance to the exact salaries to employees and officers? How are exact salaries disbursed?

During 2020 the Township revised its policies to conform to applicable statutes governing compensation for Township Employees. In consultation with the Township attorney and auditor it was determined that individual resolutions, which were in addition to the required salary ordinance that sets authorized ranges for each Township position, were redundant in nature. The governing body authorizes ranges for each position in the Township through the annual salary ordinance and any amending ordinances determined to be necessary.
