Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., I respectfully request access to the following identifiable records related to the following Mount Laurel Township-sponsored public events held during calendar year 2024:

Annual Township Fireworks Event

Food Truck Festival

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

For each of the three events listed above, I am requesting the following SPECIFIC RECORDS:

1. Contracts and Invoices (Event Vendors and Performers)

Copies of executed contracts or agreements with vendors, performers, or service providers

Copies of invoices submitted by these vendors or performers for services rendered in connection with each 2024 event

2. Budget or Expense Records

Any event-specific budget memos or summary expense documents prepared by the Township

Any funding source documentation for each event, such as memos identifying use of the general fund, grants, or sponsorships

3. Overtime Records (Employees Assigned to Events)

Payroll or timekeeping records showing overtime hours worked by Township employees in connection with each event

Total overtime compensation paid for each event

If available, documentation identifying which Township departments (e.g., Police, Public Works, Recreation) incurred the overtime

Please provide these records in electronic format (PDF, Excel, etc.) where available. If any part of this request is unclear, I am willing to revise or clarify as needed.

If any responsive documents are withheld or redacted, please cite the specific exemption and legal justification as required under OPRA.
