Dear New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

Correspondence from New Jersey licensed sportsbooks to the Division of Gaming Enforcement regarding any bets made on or associated with the Cleveland Cavaliers-Golden State Warriors game played on Jan. 9, and any response or ruling by the Division of Gaming Enforcement in regards to such requests.

Sara Ben-David, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement

The Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) does not accept OPRA requests via email. Departmental regulations only allow for OPRA requests to be submitted via hard copy correspondence or through the State’s online OPRA request form. See N.J.A.C. 13:1E-2.4(a). For this reason, I am unable to accept this email as a proper OPRA request. If you would like to submit your request through the State’s online OPRA form, you can do so at: https://www-njlib.state.nj.us/NJ_OPRA/de.... Select “Law and Public Safety.” Next, select “Division of Gaming Enforcement.” If you wish to send your request to DGE via hard copy correspondence, the mailing address is: Division of Gaming Enforcement, PO Box 047, 140 East Front Street, 9th Flr., Trenton, NJ 08625.
