Dear Starr, Thomas A,

Just to clarify, during the years 2017, 2018 and 2019, OEMS has never received an email from or emailed anyone at the domain southrivernj.org? Even though the borough applied for a BLS provider license in December 2018, no exchange was ever made between the two agencies via email?

That is fine, the more specific the parameters, the more exact the results
will be.

But it cant be against everyone in NJDOH, it cannot be that generic. Are
the oems staff NJDOH email addresses, and we would look up those domain
accounts you mentioned just in their accounts? That is what we are able to
do. It has to be we are looking in specific NJDOH users accounts for
either keywords or emails from a specific person(s). That is the
capability and expectation of the tool that we are given to work with. It
isnt perfect or high end, but if you give it very specific parameters, it
can generally get the results you are looking for, if they are there to be
found.

If I give you the names of the NJ OEMS Staff would that be sufficient?

Hi Thomas,

Unfortunately, we will need a lot more specifics with regards to any
legal/OPRA request. The e-discovery tool that comes with Office 365 is
very basic and cannot support such a generic request.

It would need exact users you are referring to, from the domain namesThe
specific names of the NJ OEMS officials (as we would have no idea who they
are)And is this for searching all users in NJDOH?

The system won’t even allow a search to be done with generic, at a minimum
keywords/terms, and who in NJDOH we are searching it on. Without the NJ
OEMS officials, or the officials from those locations, it just isn’t
possible.

Also, just as an FYI, I am not sure who wrote the comment about “a simple
query on agency mail servers” but they apparently don’t know what type of
system we are on. There are no more physical mail servers, there hasn’t
been since we migrated to Office 365 over 3 years ago. It is all done from
the cloud, there is no more backups of emails, it can only be retrieved
from legal requests.
