Dear Salem County Board of Elections,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
This 8/29/22 OPRA request seeks copies, by email, of the Cast Vote Records from the Nov. 3, 2020 General Election from all voting districts and municipalities within Salem County. This data is likely in the custody of the Board of Elections. This request seeks the CVR from every voting machine, identified by municipality and voting district, as well as the CVR for every mail-in ballot and provisional ballot. The records are sought in the original order in which the ballots were cast and recorded.
To clarify, I am not seeking ballot images or a text representation of ballots, but rather a spreadsheet-style CVR report containing the following fields at a minimum:
- CVR Record #
- Timestamp
- Tabulator ID
- Municipality
- Precinct or election district
- Batch ID
- Record ID
- Counting Group
- Session Type
- Ballot Type ID
- Paper Index
- Contest
- Candidate
- Undervotes
- Overvotes
- Mark Density

I seek the records electronically (by email), in xlsx, csv, or other standard format, and the data can be broken into data sets if required. Please provide field definitions. Maximum initial cost authorized: $20, payable by check.
