Dear Cranford Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1) all signed contract(s) for Rainone Coughlin Minchello (RCM) in effect during 2024.
2) all bills/invoices received from the above firm for work done during 2024

Hope all is well. I am the Township Attorney for the Township of Cranford.
The custodian has identified documents responsive to your OPRA request,
and I have attached documents responsive to your request for all executed
contracts in effect for 2024; however, additional documents identified
will require a legal review and possible redaction of information exempted
from OPRA disclosure, most notably information subject to attorney-client
privilege and related privileges. As a result, I am writing to request an
extension of fourteen days to provide the responsive documents and
identify any exemptions/redactions asserted. I would appreciate the

It’s been a strange road – from litigation to in-house in Jersey City to
now in private practice for municipalities. It's nice to run into some old
friends in the field now and again.
I have given the invoices you requested to RCM for a courtesy check (we do
this with all outside counsel's bills) in case anything we haven’t flagged
as privileged should be redacted. They haven’t gotten back to me yet and I
intend to be out of the office Friday and Monday for the holiday weekend.
So I apologize but I have to ask for a brief extension of my extension to
Tuesday. I haven’t asked for a second extension on an OPRA request before,
so I will make certain to have this done ASAP.
