Qualification/minute approval request for Coaching staff
Dear Nutley Board of Education,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested: Any and all information, not limited to proof of proper requirements (ie: 60 college credits), board of education minutes showing approval of nutley high school cheerleading coaching staff, both paid and volunteer as well as salaries for this 2025-2026 season.
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

Kindly advise as to why this has not yet been fulfilled. You were given ample time to reply in compliance with normal OPRA standards. There is not a very long list of coaches, therefore there should not be a delay.

Dear Ms. Smith,
Please accept this as a response to your OPRA request in which you asked
for the following:
"Any and all information, not limited to proof of proper requirements (ie:
60 college credits), board of education minutes showing approval of nutley
high school cheerleading coaching staff, both paid and volunteer as well
as salaries for this 2025-2026 season."
In regards to your request for any and all information, not limited to
proof of proper requirements, this request is denied. The first part for
any and all information does not provide for a specific identifiable
government record and the second part related to proof of proper
requirements is exempt as per NJSA 47:1A-10.
In regards to the board of education minutes showing approval of nutley
high school cheerleading coaching staff, both paid and volunteer as well
as salaries for this 2025-2026 season, the minutes from the 6/16/25 board
meeting are attached. The agenda for the 9/29/25 board meeting is also
attached as the minutes have not been approved, but all resolutions were
approved at the meeting.
