Protocol following calls into the Division concerning minor children

We're waiting for Anonymous to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear New Jersey Division of Children & Families,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

Protocol regarding any citizen who calls in a concern about the welfare of another child:
1. Does CPS aka DYFS ever reveal who the caller is to the guardian/parent(s) of the child, whether the caller remained anonymous or gave their name;
2. Is CPS required to follow up with a caller who has proof (video, pictures, documents) pertaining to their concerns? Or what is the customary way CPS proceeds when a caller reveals their name, address, phone number when there is a reported concern, whether it’s the initial call or a follow up with additional information regarding same case?
3. Upon receiving a complaint or concern, what time frame does CPS generally go out to the check on the child(ren)?
4. Does CPS go out on another call? Is there a 30 day visit to the home to follow up - is that standard when closing cases?

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,
Anonymous

OPRA Custodian,

Thank you for your request which was opened and received today.
