Dear Neptune Township,

I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:
I am the owner of the home on 1 Randi Way in Neptune Township. I am requesting a survey of my property to show me the location of the septic tank or tanks on my property from when my house was built.

Thank you,

Good morning,
FYI, we would only have a survey if one was provide to us are part of a zoning application. Typically, that would be for a fence, pool or an addition to the home. We will look for any survey. However, I have never seen a survey that shows what you're looking for. The survey team only take measurements above ground and would no way of know how large a tank would be. If it shows anything, it would only show those portions that are above the ground, like a fill pipe for a tank. Older septic tanks were fully buried so I doubt there would be any indication of where that would be. If there was a septic system, those records are with the County Health Department and you'd need to make a request to them. Please note, prior to 1980, there were few regulations of septic systems and therefore there is likely no records an older system abandoned in place.
