Property Records
Dear Bethlehem Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message, and thank you for your consideration of the following matter.
Public records requested:
1. Addresses of all residential properties (Property Class 2) that are marked as vacant and/or abandoned
2. Addresses of all residential properties (Property Class 2) that are marked as condemned
3. Addresses of all residential properties (Property Class 2) that have had a notice of abatement issued, specifically from 1/1/2022 to the present day
4. Addresses of all residential properties (Property Class 2) that are fire damaged, specifically from 1/1/2022 to the present day
5. Addresses of all residential properties with delinquent property taxes, specifically for the past 2 quarters
6. Addresses of all residential properties with delinquent water and sewer bills, specifically for the past 2 quarters
7. Addresses of all residential properties with an active municipal owned lien
8. Addresses of all residential properties that have had a code enforcement compliant opened for high grass and/or junk/debris, specifically from 1/1/2022 to the present day
You may redact all confidential and personal information under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1, but I am requesting the addressees of such properties. I am requesting the above public records in electronic form, preferably in Excel format.

In response to your OPRA Request received June 24, 2022, attached please find responsive documents as located in the TAX DEPARTMENT.
The attached reports address your request for ITEM 5 and ITEM 7.
Please be advised that Township Tax reports are run using "Blocks and Lots" to identify individual properties, not by physical address. A link to access property information to follow, shortly.
Regarding other items as requested by you:
ITEM 1: The Township does not maintain a list of vacant / abandoned properties.
ITEM 2: The Township does not maintain a list of condemned properties.
ITEM 3: Per the TAX ASSESSOR Department, there are no such known abatements on file.
ITEM 4: The Township does not maintain a list of fire damaged properties.
ITEM 5: Please see attached TAX Department documents.
(An email will be sent to you with a link in it so that you can look up the property location, as our tax software reports normally do not
include addresses and instead use Block and Lot information.

ITEM 6: The Township does not have water/sewer; The Township has private well water and septic, as owned and maintained by property owners.

The Township does not maintain these records in Excel format.

As indicated in my earlier email dated July 18, 2022, below is the link to
our tax software system for property location information. The Township
maintains files by BLOCK AND LOT.
As also indicated in my earlier email, the response from the ZONING
DEPARTMENT will require an extension until July 22, 2022.
Should the information be available prior to that date, it will be
forwarded to you at that time.
