The records of the County Clerk are public records and, as such, are available to the public Monday through Friday, except holidays, between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm. Each page that is copied has a fee of $.05 or $.07. Once you are here, a county employee from the Mortgage/Deed Room will show you how to look through the records. We are located at 33 Mechanic Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.

Or, you may look in the Open Public Records System (oprs.co.monmouth.nj.us). Once there, please use COUNTY CLERK to Property Records. There are several ways to search for records.

Dear Monmouth County Clerk,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:
1. Records of all deeds, deed transfers, or recorded instruments where the grantee (buyer) is an LLC (e.g., name containing “LLC”, “L.L.C.”, or similar designation) for properties located in Howell, NJ, filed or recorded during January 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026.

2. For each record, include at minimum:
Property address
Block and lot number
Name of LLC purchaser (grantee)
Deed book and page (or instrument number) Date of recording/filing Seller name (grantor), if available Any associated sales price or consideration information contained in the record

3. If available, please provide these records electronically (e.g., PDF or spreadsheet format). If there are fees associated with this request, please inform me before processing.

My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
