I have a question in regards to your copy requests.

When requesting your copies you usually give a book and several pages.  Do
you need all pages, or just the first deed?

Example: Book 1845 pages 315-320.  This is actually 6 deed.  Do you need
all 6 or just the first one?

If you only really need the first one please let me know, this would save
us a lot of time.

Dear Sir

I cannot override any previous emails with Mr. Colabella.  I do not know
any of the OPRA request legalities.
My department is the one who handles your specific requests.  Having said
all of that, it would probably be best for you to continue to make the
request the same way. 

However, now that I know you are usually only looking for the first deed I
will instruct my office to only copy the first deed, unless you have
stated otherwise.  This will save us some time, and also less paper
waste.  I cannot promise that turnaround time will be any quicker.  The
courthouse is open to the public, which limits our availability to
copiers.

Yes, I usually just want the first deed, so I estimate them to be around
5-6 pages each. I think it was possibly Mr. Colabella who emailed me and
said I couldn't ask for deeds like I used to (for example Deed Book
1245/starting at pg. 344) awhile back. He said those were invalid OPRA
requests since they did not specify the exact pages. So that's why I
started just guesstimating how many pages each deed might be. But, going
forward, yes, the deeds I request I just want the entire first deed. I
thought the way I used to ask for them made more sense, since you could
just stop copying when you finished the deed and not waste time copying
unneeded deeds. So, if you want me to go back to how I used to ask for
them "Deed Book 1245/starting at pg. 344", and then you just copy the
entire deed through its last page, I can do that.

Sometimes I do actually need two or three consecutive deeds in a row. From
the pending requests, these are the only ones where I need two consecutive
deeds in a row:

1341/180 & 1341/182 (2 deeds)

1705/196 & 1705/199 (2 deeds)

306/410-416 (not certain what page this deed starts on, but the one I want
is Marion/Archibald Davis to Alexander Roe)

In addition, for the request I placed yesterday, I accidentally asked for
two deeds I already have, so you can skip doing these two deeds if you
have yet to start on those: 1263/474 and 2700/454.

Also going forward, would it be easier if I just submit one request for
the 9 deeds instead of splitting them into 3 requests of 3 deeds each?
Whatever works best for you. And, at the rate we've been going, it looks
like most of the needed deeds will be finished sometime in early 2023, so
there is an end in sight. I do thank you for all the assistance you and
your staff have provided over the past few years.
