In order to assist you in narrowing down the records being requested, please find below clarification to the same:

At a recent public council meeting, Clark Township's Mayor Salvatore Bonaccorso stated the $400,000 paid to Officer Manata and his attorney were paid by both the Township and the Township's insurance company. Mayor Bonaccorso clarified his statement by stating the Township paid $70,000 of the $400,000, leaving the Township's insurance company responsible for paying $330,000.00. In addition, Mayor Bonaccorso also stated the payments to Officer Manata and his attorney were a business decision made by the insurance company. Since Mayor Bonaccorso made said statement in the course of his official duties during a Township Council Meeting, the below listed and explained records are being requested:

- proof of receipt by the Township or its attorney from the Township's insurance company, or companies if more than one was involved, for the amount of $330,000.00 used towards the payments made to Officer Manata and his attorney. (The type of records, or the Township's definition, can vary depending what format {ie: check/wire transfer} was used by the insurance to send the funds to the Township or its Attorney, but some sort of financial records detailing the receipt and/or deposit of the funds for $330,000 must exist)

- Name(s), address(es), telephone number(s), email(s) of the insurance company(s) and name of its representative(s) involved in the negotiation and decision processes of the Settlement Agreement between the Township and Officer Manata (The contents of the communications between the Township and the Insurance company are not being requested.)
