Procedure to Clean up Voter rolls

Dear Middlesex County Board of Elections,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Please report on the process/procedure of cleaning up voter rolls in Middlesex County.
2. List the dates the entire list was cleaned up in the last 10 years
3. Show how voters are identified and removed from the voter roll when deceased in county and out of county. Describe the process and how it is quality checked.

The Voter Registration database in Middlesex County is updated on a daily
basis by staff.
However, the Statewide Voter Registration System is not equipped to
provide a list of dates and changes in the manner requested.
The information that we receive for Voters who no longer live in Middlesex
County is scrubbed from many official sources, below are a few:
1) The voter may send in writing that they no longer reside in Middlesex
County and wish to be removed.
2) Mailings that are sent out and returned to the BoE. Mostly this is done
by a sample ballot or a postcard mailed to a voter notifying the voter of
their polling location.
3) Municipal Clerks who send mailings to voters can also provide the BoE
with the envelopes that are returned to them, to be processed.
4) Death lists from each Municipality.
5) Written notification from a Family Member of a Voter’s passing.
6) Electronically submitted to the Board of Elections from the DHSS
(Department of Health and Senior Services via the Statewide Voter
Registration System
