Minimum staffing requirements for the West Caldwell Police Department, Patrol Division are as follows:
A. The minimum number of officers and dispatchers required to staff a given tour is as follows:

1. 0700-1900 hours on Caldwell/West Caldwell school days (September 1 – July 1)
i. A minimum of 5 personnel shall be required to be scheduled. This shall include a minimum of 4 sworn police officers.
2. 0700-1900 hours non-school days (Caldwell/West Caldwell School Calendar)
i. A minimum of 5 personnel shall be required to be scheduled. This shall include a minimum of 3 sworn police officers. The minimum shall include no more than 2 Dispatchers.
3. 1900-0700 hours
i. A minimum of 4 personnel shall be required to be scheduled. This shall include a minimum of 3 sworn police officers.

Dear West Caldwell Township,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

Please provide me with a list of the number of patrolmen on duty, in patrol cars, during a normal weekday, 10 hour shift. The document is called a "Patrol Shift Roster".

Note, if this is a duplicate of a request sent to Caldwell Borough, please disregard it.
