Police Records Request
Dear Glen Rock Police Department,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Police Body worn camera footage of all motor vehicle accidents between 8-1 and 8-7-25
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
The maximum authorized cost is $0.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Michael
Good morning,
We are in receipt of your OPRA request and will provide a response within 7 business days.
Capt. Trover

Good morning,
I am responding to your Open Public Records Request (OPRA) dated October 5, 2025, which was received by me on 10/6/2025. Your request is overly broad and does not contain sufficient information concerning what specific records you are seeking.
OPRA is not intended to facilitate an open-ended search of an agency’s files. Rather, OPRA only allows requests for specific records, not requests for information. A proper request must identify with reasonable clarity those documents that are desired. A request for “police body worn camera footage from all motor vehicle accidents between 8-1-25 and 8-7-25" , with no further descriptors, is far too broad. The request you submitted spans a 1-week period and fails to provide the names of specific individuals or specific incidents. Rather it appears to be a general request for information about incidents which may or may not have actually occurred within the Borough.
If you wish to renew your request, you must include specific information for each incident you are requesting BWC videos for.
Thank you,
Capt. Trover
