Police Internal Affairs Summary Report
Please accept this as my request for government records under both OPRA and the common law right of access. Thank you very much for your commitment to transparent government.
RECORDS REQUESTED:
The Trenton Police Department's 2022 annual "report summarizing the types of complaints received and the dispositions of those complaints" as required by the Internal Affairs Policies & Procedures (IAPP) Section 9.11.1. It should be in the form of IAPP Appendix K.
In lieu of sending me the Appendix K, Trenton may satisfy this request by a) uploading it to its webpage and b) notifying me, via OPRAMachine, that it has done so. I would actually prefer this because it would make those important reports available to everyone in the public, not just me.

Regardless of your staffing levels, I believe that the City is required to at least respond to each OPRA request received within the seven business-day period and inform the requestor with a date by which he or she will receive a proper response. See pp 17 and 18 of the GRC's Custodian's Handbook (Seventh Edition - Updated November 2022).

BACKGROUND:
On February 22, 2023, I made an OPRA Record that was assigned Reference # OPR-2023-00328. Trenton apparently tried to send me a file called "2023472052_Appenedix_K_Annual_Report_2022.pdf" to satisfy my request. However, none of the links that OPRAMachine gave me actually allowed to open the file. On March 18, 2023, I sent in a follow-up via OPRAMachine but I haven't yet received a response. Accordingly, I'm making this request, directly via Trenton's portal instead of through OPRAMachine so that I can get the file I requested.
