My office is in receipt of your request for records received on December
26, 2018. The records requested are: Police Department Policy and
Procedure manual
 
There are no documents responsive to your request as the Maple Shade
Police Department does not have a “policy and procedure manual.”  By way
of further response, the Maple Shade Police Department advises that
departmental policies/procedures are not consolidated into a manual.
 There are approximately 114 policies ranging in length from approximately
1 to 20 pages.  Some of these documents are not available under
OPRA pursuant to N.J.A.C. 13:1E-3.2(a).  If you are requesting all of the
department policies, a special service fee will be required as
the policies must be reviewed to determine which policies fall within the
exemption, an index of exemption/redaction created, and the policies
copied for production. A deposit of $250.00 will be required prior to
beginning the review.

If you are only seeking certain policies and can sufficiently define the
scope of the policies you are seeking, please contact me. I can then
advise whether there are responsive records and whether a service fee
would still be required.

If you are no longer pursuing this request because there is no manual,
please so advise.
