Police Department Duty Logs, Payroll Records, and Authorization Records for March 25, 2026

Dear Livingston Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
For the date of March 25, 2026, please provide:
(a) The complete daily roster, assignment sheet, or duty log for the Livingston Police Department reflecting all officers on duty, for all shifts;
(b) The individual timesheet, time card, or payroll record for Chief Gary Marshuetz, PTL Joy Klapal, and PTL Michael Barreiro;
(c) Any special detail authorization, off-duty employment approval, community engagement assignment, community policing assignment memorandum, or other written directive assigning, authorizing, or requesting any police officer to participate in a video production on that date;
(d) Any overtime, compensatory time, or special-duty records for Chief Marshuetz, PTL Klapal, and PTL Barreiro for the pay period that includes March 25, 2026.

bold below. You requested:
For the date of March 25, 2026, please provide:
(a) The complete daily roster, assignment sheet, or duty log for the
Livingston Police Department reflecting all officers on duty, for all
shifts;
The record sought is being withheld pursuant to the Security exemptions of
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1. See also, Gilleran v. Bloomfield, 227 N.J. 159.

There are no responsive records.
(d) Any overtime, compensatory time, or special-duty records for Chief
Marshuetz, PTL Klapal, and PTL Barreiro for the pay period that includes
March 25, 2026.
