Dear Sir or Madem,
We have received your request pursuant to the NJ Open Public Records Act
(“OPRA”). Specifically, you have requested the “Number of out of district
placements in the last 5 years. Reason for OOD placement.”
No such record responsive to your specific request exists. OPRA does not
require government agencies to create documents in order to respond to
requests. Additionally, requests for information, as opposed to requests
for specific documents, are invalid under OPRA. However, the Board is
able to provide you with the number of out-of-district placements made by
the North Brunswick Township Board of Education over the course of the
past five years. That information is set forth below:
