Dear Earl Sutton Jr.,
I'm not legally required to fill out your form and that my email request is enough. Please comply with my OPRA request within the legal time period of 7 business days. Pursuant to Renna v. County of Union (App. Div. 2009), OPRA requests should be on the agency’s official OPRA request form. However, a written request that is not on the agency’s official OPRA request form cannot be denied solely because the request is not on the request form. Written requests which are not on the form must mention OPRA. Therefore, if a requestor elects not to use an agency’s official OPRA request form, he/she must submit an otherwise written request that clearly identifies itself as an OPRA request.

I never claimed that the Little Egg Harbor MUA has not been convicted nor convicted of an indictable offense within my official request.

Yours sincerely,

ASK NJ Media Co.

Earl Sutton Jr., Little Egg Harbor MUA

Sorry,

I misread what you originally wrote and understood it to be a question regarding the MUA. I am aware that you are not legally required to fill out our form. Our form however does have the area to be circled to ascertain whether or not someone has been indicted under the statutory provisions you cited.

We will work on your request.
