The request was successful.

Dear Records Custodian,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA) and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(f). This request includes all information required by statute.

Certifications:
• I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
• I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
• I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

This request references my prior OPRA request dated April 6, 2025, assigned NJ TRANSIT reference number 250407-877870, which was denied on the basis that it sought “information and not a record.” I am now revising and narrowing the scope of my request to seek specifically identifiable records related to the “NJ TRANSIT Police Department – Entry Level Police Officer” position, as detailed in the official job posting:
https://www.policeapp.com/Entry-Level-NJ...

Records requested:
1. Applications: A copy of all applications submitted through the PoliceApp platform for the aforementioned position, with all personal identifying information redacted as permitted under OPRA.

If providing redacted copies of all applications is not possible, I am willing to accept the aggregate number of applications received for this position as an alternative. This approach aims to reduce the workload on your department while still fulfilling the intent of my request.

My preferred delivery method is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm receipt of this request and advise if it has been forwarded to the appropriate records custodian.

Yours faithfully,
FRATLAWZOPRA
