OPRA Request – March 17 2024 Unauthorized Racing Event (Victory Bridge / Convery Blvd & Smith St)
Dear Perth Amboy Police Department,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Please provide the following records related to the unauthorized racing event / vehicle takeover that occurred on March 17, 2024 around 5:53 PM at the intersection of State Highway 35 (Convery Boulevard) and Smith Street, Perth Amboy, NJ, near the base of the Victory Bridge:
All body-worn camera footage from responding Perth Amboy Police Department officers.
All dashboard camera recordings from patrol units that responded to the scene.
The initial police incident report(s), arrest report(s), and supplemental reports related to this event.
Any CAD / dispatch logs, radio transmissions, or 911 call audio recordings referencing this incident.
Any photos or videos collected or generated by PAPD during the investigation.
Any press releases or after-action summaries generated by PAPD concerning this event.
If any portion of this request is denied, please identify the specific legal exemption relied upon and release all segregable portions of the records not subject to exemption.
My preferred delivery method is email with digital attachments or download links.
Please confirm receipt of this request. If you are not the appropriate records custodian, please forward this message to the proper custodian and provide me their contact information for future reference.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Yours faithfully,
Anonymous
