Please be advised that the City of Garfield uses an online portal for OPRA requests. Though not required, if you resubmit your request through our portal we will be able to respond more efficiently and in a quicker manner. The link can be found here:

Also, please be more specific as far as "certificates of approval" and "certificates of compliance". Of what? Which department are you seeking these records from?
As of right now, the Building Department will be responding for Certificates of Occupancy as a specific document was identified.
