I received your OPRA request on October 7, 2019 for a copy of “tax account delinquent report, detailed lien status report, residential code enforcement violations currently active and pending that include residential structures that are vacant and open to trespass, residential properties with grass or weeds in excess of city's height limit, residential structures without a current city certificate of occupancy, residential properties on the cities vacant property registry (if applicable).” As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is October 17, 2019. This response is being provided to you on the third (3rd) day of the custodian’s receipt of the said request.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.b, there is no cost associated with this request as the documents are being transmitted to you electronically.

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or unfulfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a right to challenge the decision by the Borough of Bergenfield to deny access. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.
