We represent a prospective purchaser of the residential condominium unit
mentioned in the OPRA Request and wanted to confirm what the City requires
in connection with the transfer of ownership. Could you please clarify the
following:

1. Certificates

Does the City require a Certificate of Occupancy (C/O), a Continuing
Certificate of Occupancy (CCO), or a Zoning Certificate in connection with
the resale of a condo unit?

2. Inspections

Are any inspections required as part of the transfer (e.g., building,
zoning, housing, property maintenance)?

Does the Fire Department conduct a required inspection?

3. Fire/Safety Requirements

Does the City require a smoke detector / carbon monoxide detector / fire
extinguisher certification or affidavit before resale?

4. Process

Which department handles the application?

What is the typical lead time for scheduling inspections and issuing
certificates?

Are there application forms or fee schedules available online or by
request?
