Dear Ocean County Clerk's Office,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
I am looking for the most recent deeds and notice of settlements for the following Block/Lots in the township of Toms River:
Block 173 Lot 36
Block 173 Lot 41
Block 173 Lot 42
Block 173 Lot 43
I am also requesting any property records in regard to combining 2 or more of the above lots together.

Your request must be more specific. The property records are indexed
by the grantor and/or grantee's name and the date the deed is recorded.
You also need to be specific about the document you are looking for that
combines the lots and which lots. I also need the name of the owner that
did that and when the document would've been recorded.

The grantor for those 4 lots would be Josephine Major. As for the combination of lots I am assuming that would be done by a zoning application. Toms River Township and the Ocean County Tax Board site have different information as to the owners and I'm trying to see who currently owns each lot listed above.

When did she purchase each of the lots? When were the lots combined?
There may not be a separate deed showing the lots combined.

Heather,
There is a recent deed transferring this property to the
Grandkids in February 2022 and it looks like it terminates the trust it
was in. I've attached a copy of this deed. The deeds mentioned in the
conveyance paragraph showing how Josephine and her husband got the
property are on our Property Search website with images of the deeds. Go
to our website at [1]www.oceancountyclerk.com. On the home page is a link
on the bottom left under Important Information that gives you the link to
our Property Search website. It is free.
I'm not sure when the lots got combined or if they ever did but you
may need a title searcher to help you trace that.

It shows deeds for Josephine back to 1971.
You type her name as major josephine
No punctuation, just a space between her last name and first name. I also
just clicked the Type column at the top and it sorts the documents in
alphabetical order giving me the deeds first. Click the view before the
document and it should create a PDF for you.
