OPRA: Purchase invoice of body worn cameras for the police department
Dear Bernardsville Borough,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department.
2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for the first time (year and month).
3. Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased).

1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police
department.
Response: This is not a request for specific records, this is a
request for general information regarding the operations of the
Bernardsville Police Department that does not identify a specific document
or record maintained by the Bernardsville Police Department. If you have a
request for a specific record please advise and we will respond
accordingly.
2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers
for the first time (year and month).
Response: This is not a request for specific records, this is a
request for general information regarding the operations of the
Bernardsville Police Department that does not identify a specific document
or record maintained by the Bernardsville Police Department. If you have a
request for a specific record please advise and we will respond
accordingly.
3. Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased).
Response: We have searched our records. *No such invoice exists.
(* See Williams v. Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, GRC Complaint No.
2014-297 (finding that where "no records responsive to the request exist,
no unlawful denial of access occurred").
