We're waiting for Taeho Kim to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Brick Township,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department.

2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for the first time (year and month).

3. Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased).

Yours faithfully,

Kim

Jessica Larney, Brick Township

In response to your below OPRA request:

The Brick Township Police Department response is as follows:

1) Item #1 - "Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department."
No records responsive to this request.
2) Item #2 - "Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for
the first time (year and month)."
No records responsive to this request.
3) Item #3 - "Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased)."
This request is overly broad and does not identify a specific government record and is
therefore invalid pursuant to Mag Entertainment, LLC v. Division of Alcoholic Beverage
Control, 375 N.J.Super. 534 (March 2005) and Bent v. Stafford Police Department, 381
N.J. Super. 30 (October 2005). A request pursuant to the Open Public Records Act,
N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq. must identify the records sought with specificity.

Sincerely,

Jessica L. Larney, RMC/CMR
