This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

Under the Public Records Act I am formally requesting to receive a list of all Residential properties in your city that the property owners do not reside in that property as their primary residence (Non-owner-occupied properties).

Please provide requested records in Excel format if available.

If up-to-date data is not available, please provide the most recently available information.

Please include a Record Index with your response.
*A record index that identifies each record requested and the specific legal basis for a denial of access (including redactions) to each record.

The Township of Bloomfield received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA)
Request on May 20,  2021.  As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to
respond to your request is June 1, 2021 response to your request is being
provided to you on the 4^th business day upon the Township’s receipt of
the request.   

 

Your OPRA Request sought the following:

“Under the Public Records Act I am formally requesting to receive a list
of all Residential properties in your city that the property owners do not
reside in that property as their primary residence (Non-owner-occupied
properties). “

 

 

The following records are being provided in their entirety and are the
ONLY documents in the Township’s possession responsive to your request:

 

1.       From the Township’s Tax Assessor: There is no list responsive to
your request  

 

 

These records are being transmitted to you via email, as per your request.
*Personal information has been redacted in accordance with the Open Public
Records Act statute N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1  which prohibits the release of
personal information. 

 

 

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfulfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Township of Bloomfield to deny
access.  At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey, or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form. 
You may contact the GRC by toll-free telephone at 866-850-0511, by mail at
P.O. Box 819, Trenton, New Jersey, 08625, by e-mail at
[1][email address], or at their website at [2]www.state.nj.us/grc. 
The GRC can also answer other questions about the law.  All questions
regarding complaints filed in the Superior Court should be directed to the
