National Center for Missing and Exploited Cyber-Tips and Arrests 2019

The request was successful.

Sean Nelson Boero

Dear Burlington County Prosecutor's Office,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

On October 10, 2023, I respectfully requested the number of Cyber-Tips received by the BCPO during 2019 and the number of arrests made as a result of those Cyber-Tips.

On October 16, 2023, AP Michael J. Sullivan replied with 52 Cyber-Tips and 52 Arrests. Included in the response was an Excel spreadsheet that detailed 52 Investigations and 25 Arrests with defendant's names listed with 27 blank spaces for the "defendant."

I am respectfully requesting you review the response and clarify the response from October 16, 2023. How many actual arrests were made as the result of Cyber-Tips received during 2019?

Thanks so much. The High-Tech Crime Unit of the BCPO is doing wonderful work, but I am conducting research and need the exact numbers.

Yours faithfully,

Sean Nelson Boero

Dear OPRABCPO,

Thank you for your response. The BCPO is and has been an example for the rest of us to emulate. Your High Tech personnel in particular have served Burlington County and the NJ State Police well for over a decade serving as subject matter experts. We are well served by your department.

Yours sincerely,

Sean Nelson Boero (NJSP - emeritus)
