Lisa Lacroix Email Logs
Dear New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
Email logs for Captain Lisa Lacroix of the Division of Fish and Wildlife from December 7th, 2018 to February 7th, 2019.
Yours faithfully,
Gavin Rozzi
Mr. Rozzi
Your message has been received.
Your request for "all emails sent or received by
Captain Lisa Lacroix that contained either Raccoon and/or Lacey for the period of
December 7th, 2018 to February 7th, 2019" has been denied on the basis that the
identified 15 email records are not considered government records pursuant to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-1.1, being intra-agency advisory, consultative, and/or deliberative material; and
on the basis that the requested records relate to an actor that is a juvenile in a civil
enforcement proceeding and as such are confidential pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.3.a.

Dear Records, DEP,
This is a new OPRA request for email logs, not copies of emails with those keywords as was my first request. The previous denial of my last OPRA request is irrelevant for the purpose of handling this request. I submitted this request in response to the denial so I can still get some information.
This request is for email logs, which are "fields of information covering sender, recipient, date, and subject in the emails." See the 2017 NJ Supreme Court case Paff v. Galloway.
Yours sincerely,
Gavin Rozzi
Good Morning Mr. Rozzi,
We have entered your OPRA Request into the system. Please refer to OPRA Tracking # 245653 with any communications to our office.
