Library
Dear Glen Rock Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Records requested:
All communications sent to or from the Mayor, any member of the Borough Council, and Steve Neele, from January 29, 2026 through the date this request is processed, that contain the word “library.”

Text messages (SMS and MMS)
Messages sent via any messaging applications used for public business (including but not limited to iMessage, WhatsApp, or similar platforms)
This request applies to:
Official municipal accounts and devices
Personal accounts and devices used to conduct public business
----------------------------
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
God Bless,
Sarah M
The Borough is in receipt of your OPRA request for multiple months of communications containing the word “library”.
This request is overbroad and will generate a universe of documents not directly related to the library. Can you please modify or clarify your search?

Dear Jackie Scalia,
Thank you for your response.
The use of the keyword “library” is intentional and central to my request. Historically, the term has not been widely used in Borough communications, but its recent increase in usage, particularly in the context of library funding decisions, is precisely why this search term is appropriate.
For that reason, I am not seeking to narrow or modify the keyword itself. Any communication containing the word “library” is potentially responsive and should be included.
If needed, I am willing to discuss reasonable limitations such as date ranges however, the keyword “library” should remain unchanged.
Yours sincerely,
Sarah M
