Please accept this as a response to your May 20, 2022 OPRA request wherein you sought "copies of the latest version of the design plans (floor plans and/or architectural plans) for the proposed Campbell library." As you are aware, OPRA allows seven (7) business days for a response. This is the fourth (4th) business day.

Rowan University is denying your request as it seeks information that would reveal security measures which, if disclosed, would create a risk to the safety of persons, property, electronic data or software and is therefore exempted from OPRA under N.J.S.A. 47:1A-11. Specifically, Rowan University does not release any architectural plans, floor plans, schematics, etc. for its buildings or properties due to security concerns for the safety of our students, faculty and staff should those plans become public. Such plans contain information regarding building systems, escape routes, and layout of non-public areas which could aid in the planning of harm to people or property.

Thank you for your response. As I stated in my separate open request, I recently attended a graduation ceremony on your campus for a family member who's a student. During that visit we entered the public student center. Posted on the wall publicly were the floor layouts for the agora project. That is what I am requesting a copy of, the floor layouts that are suitable to be released to the public except for the library project in this case not the agora project. If I did not use the correct terminology in my original request for this document I apologize and hereby update my request.
